Day 19 - Wedding Ring (0 comments)

I’m going away with the Scouts over the weekend so I won’t be able to upload my photos. I’ll upload them all on Sunday when I return. We are going to Tatton, so hopefully I’ll be able to get some good captures of the dear.

Wedding Ring

Camera: Canon EOS 30D
Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/9
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 800
Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV

High ISO was due to manual flash and wanting to keep the aperture fairly small.

Day 18 - Is the 365 thing a waste of time? (0 comments)

Shot this on the break at band. I’m not really happy with this image. Which is leading me to wonder that if I don’t like the photo, should I really be publishing it in order to make sure I manage one a day. Surely it’s the attempt to shoot that matters to my photographic improvement not the publishing.

On the other hand, by publishing I suppose I have an online record of it all, but I don’t think this is a good photo, so what is it representative of?

Day 17 - It’s about time… (0 comments)

More playing with manual flash exposure. It currently seems to be real trial and error. I could do with getting it down somehow.

About time

Aperture: f/11
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 400

Day 16 - Two Pounds (0 comments)

Another macro shot. Just playing around. I think I need some more focus for these daily shots. Like a mini project if you would. Anyone got any themes or suggestions otherwise?

Two Pounds

Camera: Canon EOS 30D
Exposure: 0.04 sec (1/25)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV
Flash: Flash did not fire

Yes the flash did fire. It seems that when I’m using my off camera remote on manual the exif information doesn’t appear.  Anyway, it fired on 1/32 power reflecting off the ceiling.

Day 15 - Werneth Lowe Panoramic (0 comments)

This isnt’t the best shot I’ve taken, but I’m trying to complete one a day, so here it is! It’s Manchester from Werneth Lowe Ridge.

Day 13 - Little Sis (0 comments)

This is my little sis. I tried adding a little fill in flash to kill the shadows below her nose, but it didn’t quite look natural. Anyway out of the series this one came out as my favorite. The colour version isn’t too bad either.
