Day 9 - Inspiration lacking (2 comments)

Was struggling for inspiration today. Well not really inspiration I suppose, but more something I could shoot in the very little time I had. So I lay on the floor in the living room and looked what I could see. These old sandals came into play.

Well I’ve completed a week of my 365 challenge. I took this by holding my nifty reversed next to my kit lens. I didn’t tape them together or use a reversing ring, so focusing was entertaining but It seemed to work.

I’ve been on a night hike with the scouts, we set off at 10pm last night and got back at 7 am this morning. To say we are tired is an understatement. I didn’t really have any time for any real photography so here is a picture of the scouts.

Doh, I actually went out this evening with the intention of getting some captures. I went to Mellor Church and down to Etherow only to discover when I got back that my camera settings were completely fecked. I thought the shutter speeds I was getting were quite fast!

I really want to improve my photography so I think I’m going to do something about it. I’ve set my self the challenge of taking a publishable photo a day, so I’m going to publish the attempts right here. I’m reading a couple of photography books at the minute. Including Understanding Exposure and The Moment it Clicks, which are both excellent books, so hopefully I’ll pick up some knowledge.
